HOUSING APPEALS BOARD IN CONCORD; MORE BUREAUCRACY...

Effective July 1, 2020, Housing Appeals Board Chapter 679 of the NH Planning & Land Use Regulations 2019-2020 Editor

More bureaucratic suffocation, in my view, below is letter to the editor, published in seacoast online by #barnes4nh:

Subject: SB 306 now part of the NH budget

Dear editor ,

I would argue that SB306 - a bill to establish a housing appeals board now authorizes state appointed bureaucrats to potentially overrule decisions made at the local municipal Elected Zoning Board of Appeals level.

The majority if the state senate voted to allow this as part of the State budget which has now passed. I would also argue that this appeals board creates more state suffocation and takes power away at the local municipal level.

Concord does not know better than our locally elected officials & this bill creates unnecessary government red tape, in my view. Disappointed to see this in the budget.
